Chandler PD played host to young members of Police Explorer
Posts around the country, providing hands-on experience in what
the teens’ real-life law enforcement counterparts face every day in
the field. Participants learned about hostage negotiations, use of
firearms, building searches and other team and individual events,
part of a daylong competition held at the Chandler Fire Academy.
The specialized Explorer program is sponsored by affiliated
agencies and Learning through Life,
a subsidiary of Boy Scouts of America.
