Chandler mayor to join Brisas session exploring neighborhood needs, issues

Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny will join the city’s Neighborhood Advisory Committee on Tuesday, March 8, in hosting the second of five neighborhood meetings as part of a “Listening Tour” designed to provide residents with information on city resources and services and engage neighborhoods in conversations about the challenges they face.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary School, Media Center, 777 N. Desert Breeze Boulevard East.

The NAC hosted the first tour in January at Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School, which  Tibshraeny attended as a child. Approximately 70 residents attended the January meeting.
“Teaming up with our Advisory Committee on this tour enables me to keep in touch with our residents and better grasp the issues they are dealing with,” Tibshraeny said.

He noted that members of the city’s Youth Commission will attend the meeting to share thoughts and ideas.
To encourage participation, notices announcing the meeting have been mailed to residents living within a two-square-mile area of Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary School.
