Women’s financial-planning seminar draws area exec

Kyrene Corridor-based State Farm Insurance agent Judy Aguilar-Woertz is among 200 top-performing State Farm women agents selected to attend a women’s symposium, co-sponsored by State Farm Insurance Companies and Phoenix Wealth Management, on the campus of The American College in Philadelphia.

The three-day event focused on why women agents are particularly well-suited to excel in the financial services industry and how they can help other women succeed in planning for the future.

The concepts were delivered by several nationally recognized experts, including Dr. Wayne Sotile and Mary Sotile, co-authors of Marriage Skills for Busy Couples and frequently featured on Good Morning America, CBS Morning and Dateline; Martha Barletta, author of Marketing to Women: How to Understand, Reach and Increase Your Share of the World’s Largest Market Segment; and Dr. Lowell Catlett, an economist and futurist.

With 85 percent of today’s household purchasing decisions being made by women, Aguilar-Woertz’s says her interaction with the speakers, coupled with her experience as a successful businesswomen, position her as a resource to women with financial planning needs.
