VooDoo Daddy’s premises seized by center owner

February 23, 2008

Claiming that VooDoo Daddy’s defaulted on its lease, the property’s owners have retaken legal possession of the premises and locked out its employees.

In a legal notice dated Jan. 16, Arcadia Management Group Inc. said the owners also have obtained a lien on assets inside the building.

The restaurant is at 1706 E. Warner Road, on the northwest corner of Warner and McClintock.

Employees reported they showed up for work to find the premises locked. The company still owes back paychecks to some workers, who were told more than a month ago that the situation was temporary.

No payments have yet been received, however, an employee said.
