Boys strut their stuff, raise donations via 'Mr. Corona' competition

February 4, 2006

Move over girls. It’s the boys’ turn. This year, Corona del Sol High School will be holding its first-ever Mr. Corona contest on Feb. 4.

Breaking the norm, Aztec males will get a chance to strut their stuff. The pageant will include 16 boys in total, four from each class. The contestants will compete via interviews and a talent competition.

To add to the honor of being named Mr. Corona, the crowning will be done by Ms. Arizona herself. Prizes–in addition to being crowned by Ms. Arizona, that is–will go to the lucky winner.

The contest aims to not only give the guys a chance in the spotlight but to generate funds for the March of Dimes.

Leah Fleming, a teacher at Corona, is the sponsor of the March of Dimes club and took it upon herself to see the winner receives adequate prizes. We can hardly wait.
