Tickets to go on sale for fireworks spectacular

Tickets to the CBS 5 July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival will go on sale Friday, June 4, at Kyrene Corridor Safeway stores for $5. Children under 12 will be admitted free.

The festival, from 3 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, July 4, at Tempe Beach Park, will feature the SRP 53rd Annual Fireworks Spectacular, live music, a food court and a Budweiser beer garden.  A kids zone, complete with magicians, jugglers, a rock climbing wall and a water playground, will be available for kids and families. Tempe Beach Park is located near Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue in Tempe.

The fireworks will once again be shot from Mill Avenue bridge to light up Tempe Town Lake.  The bridge will be closed to traffic starting at 6 a.m. July 4.

Event parking will be available for $5 at ASU’s Lot 59, Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Road; Tempe Mission Palms Hotel; and the Suncor building. Handicapped parking will be available at the America West Building.

Shuttle service will be available to and from Pyle Center (southwest corner of Rural Road and Southern Avenue) and Tempe Diablo stadium parking lots. Shuttles run every 10 minutes from 3 p.m. to midnight, with the last shuttle departing for the event at 8:30 p.m. Public buses will run every 30 minutes on selected routes after 3 p.m.
