Preschool
Storytime. Expand your child's love of books through this free fun-filled
program. Material suitable for children ages 2-5. Storytimes for the
Basha Library are Mondays at 6:30 pm and Wednesdays at 10:10 am.
Storytimes for the Downtown Library are Mondays at 10:00 am and 6:30 pm as
well as Thursdays at 10:00 am. Storytimes for the Hamilton
Library are Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Thursdays at 10:00 am. Storytimes
for the Sunset Library are on Mondays
at 11:15 am and Tuesdays at 11:15 am as well as 6:30 pm
Lapsit
Storytime. This free 20-minute
program for 0-24 month children is a one on one experience for
parent/caregiver and child. It is a wonderful opportunity to introduce baby
to books, music, finger plays and poems. Please no siblings. Storytimes for
the Downtown Library are Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Storytimes for the Hamilton
Library are Wednesdays at 9:40 am. Storytimes for the Sunset Library are on Tuesdays at 10:15 am.
Toddler
Time. This free 20-minute program includes books, finger plays and music.
Material is selected for 1 to 2 year olds but baby siblings are always
welcome. Scheduled times for
the Basha Library are Thursdays at 10:10 am. Scheduled times for the
Downtown Library are Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Scheduled
times for the Hamilton Library are Wednesdays at 10:10 am. Scheduled times for the Sunset Library are Mondays at 10:15 am.
Ongoing
storytime events at Changing Hands every Thursday at 10:15 a.m.
The first Thursday of every month is sign language storytime,
a fun opportunity for kids to learn sign language while listening to a story
with Missy Keast. The second Thursday of every month is a bi-lingual
storytime, when stories are read in Spanish and English by Claudia Nuñez de
Ibieta. The third Thursday of every month is storytime with Julie Munzer,
a.k.a. Lady J. The fourth Thursday of every month is musical storytime with
a Yamaha music instructor incorporating stories into music.
