UTAZ honored by Tempe for design of its Warner Century Plaza project

With the recent announcement of the City of Tempe's 2004 Beautification Award winners, UTAZ Development stood above the competition as they were recognized for their contribution in the Commercial/Industry category.

The Beautification Awards were created by the City of Tempe to honor the visual beauty of the city.  The awards recognize property owners, architects, contractors, artists and neighborhood associations whose projects have contributed to the enhancement of the community.

UTAZ was recognized for their architectural design and craftsmanship for the Warner Century Plaza, a "professional village" which offers business owners the option to own their office space as an alternative to leasing. The project, located at 2125 East Warner Road, consists of 12 buildings totaling 82,000 square feet.

"We are thrilled to be acknowledged by the City of Tempe for our outstanding visual contribution," said Craig Willett, president of UTAZ.  "We take pride in our developments and will continue our involvement within the community." UTAZ will be honored during a formal reception and awards presentation on May 12, 2004.

UTAZ, an East Valley based development company, has successfully pioneered the "professional village" concept.   The professional village is designed to allow business professionals to own their office space rather than rent.  By being in control of their office environment, business owners are able to build equity, saving more than 30 percent over rental rates-and increase bottom-line profitability.
