South Tempe LL All Stars compete for final spots in state tournament

Tempe’s Little League All Stars started the month off with intense round-robin play in hopes to advance all the way to Williamsport.

Tempe South 11-year-old Majors finished the first rounds of the tournament with a record of 3-2. They will advance to the semifinals against Chandler National LL. The winner of the game will advance to face off against the winner of Chandler American LL and Ahwatukee LL.

The winner of the tournament will be crowned District 13 Champions and will face off against the Arizona’s other elite teams.

More players that will try to help the 11-yaer-old team are: Alec Anson, Jacob Martin, Collins Merkel, Keith Williamson, Frederick Gammage, Daniel Garlid, Brandon Stevens, Max Gonzales, Matthew Pawlowski, Jeff Paschke, Adam Gleave and Timmy Zamora.

Tempe South Minors also advanced to the semifinals with a record of 2-3.

Tempe South Majors were eliminated from competition after finishing the round-robin tournament with a record of 1-4.
