Kyrene schools unveil enrichment offerings

The Kyrene School District’s Enrichment program provides learning opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. Enrichment courses supplement students’ classroom experience by providing a wealth of courses that students can take before or after school.

Programs for youth

Youth Enrichment programs meet the needs and interests of students through the wide variety of course offerings, such as chess, drawing and cartooning, choir, keyboarding, language tennis, Homework Club, athletic clinics, Mad Science and more. Classes are held at Kyrene school sites but enrollment is open to students throughout the Valley.

Programs for adults

In keeping with Kyrene’s commitment to lifelong learning, Adult Enrichment programs provide grown-ups with a cost-effective opportunity to develop new skills and build on previous learning experiences. Online courses range from accounting to technology, from photography to business administration.

First-time offerings

For the first time, Kyrene is hosting Fall Break Camps to provide students with a fun and educational alternative while schools are closed Oct. 11-15. The courses and programs being offered include a wearable art class, Young Rembrandts Zoo Camp, weight training and an open gym for athletic activities.

How to register

Anyone would like to register for enrichment courses can do so online at www.kyrene.org/eservices, at the Kyrene Customer Service Center (located at the Kyrene district office), or by mail
