MCC student's academic standing recognized
Kyrene Corridor resident Anthony K. Gardetto has been introduced into the Omicron Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Mesa Community College, with a grade point average of 3.5.
Students must rank in the top 20 percent of the class to earn membership and must maintain a high academic standing during their enrollment.
Anthony is currently studying fire science in preparation for entrance to the Arizona Fire Academy training program. Gardetto is a 2001 graduate of Corona del Sol High School and a varsity letterman in wrestling, swimming and baseball.
Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest honor society serving two-year colleges around the world. It recognizes and encourages the academic achievement of two-year college students who provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership and service programming.
