33rd Annual StairClimb and Firefighter Challenge Fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

August 26, 2013 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Go vertical! During the 33rd Annual StairClimb event, participants conquer more than 35 floors of the Snell & Wilmer building at the Arizona Center. Teams are encouraged, but individuals may participate as well. Those who are not looking for an athletic event but still wish to support the cause can join as “no-sweat” climbers and help fundraise to cure CF with out taking a step.

The Firefighter Challenge is a competition based on fire-fighting tasks commonly performed by firefighters in emergency situations. Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on their favorite city as local firefighters from across the Valley compete head-to-head to see which department is the fastest and the fittest. Awards will be given to the top finishers and the firefighters will be available for photos after the event. A memorial for those killed fighting the Yarnell Fire is also planned.

Attendees and kids of all ages will enjoy the morning festivities including food and beverage, plus music and massages in the courtyard of the Arizona Center in Downtown Phoenix.

Funds raised during the StairClimb and Firefighter Challenge will be put to work in laboratories, where researchers are working to find a cure for this genetic disease affecting the lives of more than 30,000 children and young adults in the United States. For more information visit http://azstairclimb.org
