Drum corps lining up 2005 members
Auditions for musicians ages 14 through 21 interested in becoming part of the 2005 Academy Drum and Bugle Corps will be held Dec. 5 and 19 at Tempe Sports Complex, 8425 S. Hardy Drive, Tempe.
An open house describing the program is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Dobson High School, 1501 W. Guadalupe Road, Mesa.
According to the academy, drum corps activity has reached performance, design and competition levels comparable to that of the Olympics. Membership selection is based on work ethic, character, ability and audition results.
