Live & direct from Tempe City Hall: Santa Claus
Tempe's annual Santa Show, a call-in program giving children a chance to talk directly to Santa Claus, will air live at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 on Tempe 11, or at www.tempe.gov/tempe11 for those without Cox Cable access.
Dick Steely is the host of the show that will feature musical performances by the Kyrene Middle School, Tempe High School and Meyer Elementary School choirs, along with music from students at Carminati Elementary school.
Viewers also will be treated to highlights of the Tempe Fantasy of Lights parade and tree lighting.
Viewers may call in during the show to talk to Santa live at (480) 350-8900.
The show will run to 8 p.m. if the number of phone calls remains high. There will be replays of the live program beginning Dec. 11 and running through the month. A program guide is available at www.tempe.gov/tempe11.
