Aprende Middle School
Katie Tripp
is an eighth-grade student at Aprende
and a leader on the undefeated (2-0)
2006/07 girls’ softball team. Katie was
a member of Aprende’s seventh-grade
softball team that finished in second
place at last year’s conference
tournament.
She has done an outstanding job
pitching, playing third base, and is a
valuable asset at bat (she hits both
right- and left-handed).
Katie has also played volleyball at
Aprende for two years. In her spare
time, Katie plays on a club softball
team, enjoys hanging with friends, and
talking.
Ryan Cox
is an eighth-grade student at Aprende
Middle School and a team captain on the
2006/07 Jaguar wrestling team.
This is his third year as a Jaguar
varsity wrestler and he has been a
conference champion in both sixth and
seventh grades.
Ryan is undefeated this year (3-0); all
three wins have been pins.
Outside of school, Ryan participates in
the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Academy,
wrestling both freestyle and
Greco-Roman, and was a member of Team
Arizona at the Freestyle Regionals in
Oregon.
Ryan has also participated in tackle
football for the Southeast Valley Youth
Football League the past four years. |
