Owners of the popular restaurant and brew house at McClintock and Baseline in Tempe will donate proceeds from the sale of Lagunitas Brewing Co. craft beer, as well as from hot dog purchases, to Lucky Dog Rescue, an all-volunteer, non profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership.

With July being National Hot Dog Month, “It’s the perfect time to stop by to enjoy a Lagunitas IPA beer and one of our specialty hot dogs for a great cause,” manager Jared Fenis said.

In addition to contributing proceeds from beer and hot dog sales, the staff will also be accepting donations of new and gently used pet items, as well as cash contributions, 100 percent of which will go directly to Lucky Dog Rescue.

On Saturday, July 26, the observance will feature a visit by staffers from the Lucky Dog organization, joined by some of the group’s cutest, cuddliest dogs hoping for a new home, according to Fenix.

A silent auction will feature an assortment of prizes, with proceeds also going to Lucky Dog.
