Dropoff time extended for tax credit donations

School District will be open from 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, for the
convenience of those who wish to drop
off last-minute tax-credit donations.

The Arizona Tax Credit Program
allows Arizona taxpayers, regardless of
whether they have children in school,
to donate up to $400 to a school of
their choice in support of extracurricular
programs such as afterschool
clubs, sports, arts and music.
An individual filing a tax return may
contribute up to $200, and married
couples filing jointly may contribute up
to $400.
Tax credits represent a dollar-fordollar
reduction in the actual state tax
owed, as compared to a tax deduction,
which reduces total taxable income
from which the tax owed is calculated.
TUHSD offices are at 500 W.
Guadalupe Road.
