Dear Retired, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. It’s a shame you couldn’t take the time to do a little research on this art form before making such an ignorant comment about children already being ‘exposed to art through regular art classes.’ ‘Regular’ is the key word there. Let’s not challenge our students with something new or exciting. Let’s keep it all ‘regular’. What a bright ‘regular’ future we’ll have. You are obviously oblivious to the state of our schools today and how valuable emersion into the arts and the ability to be creative is to our students.

Dear Retired, Are you too ‘shy’ to use your real name? Your comment is ignorant. Before you throw stones why don’t you find out how this event was funded. It cost the school nothing. Why don’t you ask the 600 kids who researched and worked hard and long on their pieces of art how ‘lame’ it was? You trigger happy naysayers are so quick to judge…rattling off comments without backbone enough to identify yourself. Shame on you.

And, how much did this lame activity cost the school? Seems there should be better uses for the money when the children are already exposed to art through their regular art classes.
