The countdown is on! Lucky Break, the new sports bar, gourmet burger restaurant and billiard cafe is getting together with the Phoenix New Times to provide the local community an opportunity to sample their burgers, no strings attached. There will be free hamburgers and cheeseburgers available to dine-in patrons [only] from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2012.

When asked why they were doing this big giveaway, General Manager, Jared Fenix replied “I guess the truth is that we’re probably a little bit crazy, but also, football season is over now and we wanted to generate some excitement while giving back to our neighbors in the community. Spring Training baseball is only a couple of weeks away so we figured that if we were ever going to be able do it, this was the time. We are very proud of our burgers and know that once you’ve had a taste of our food, you’ll become a regular.”

The goal is to giveaway one thousand burgers. “I don’t know if we can make it,” says Fenix, but we’re sure as heck going to try. I guess a lot will depend on how quickly we can serve the folks that come through the door and how fast they eat in order to make room for the next group. It will be close, but we should make it!”

While there is absolutely no cost to come by and enjoy a burger, Lucky Break will be accepting donations in an effort to help raise money for the family of Deputy Bill Coleman who lost his life in the line of duty.

Lucky Break is Tempe’s newest place to play and brings together some of the most popular products, services and activities to be found under one roof anywhere in the valley. The newly designed and built-out 6,000 square foot facility opened at the end of December and offers six world-class, eight-foot, rent-by-the hour Spencer Marston billiard tables, a state-of-the-art A/V system with six giant screen projectors and fourteen 55-inch flat screen TVs, an interesting menu showcasing a dozen gourmet burgers, and a 24-tap draft system featuring a dazzling array of domestic, import and craft beers.
