The six evening classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 26 and will run every Thursday thereafter through March 2. Classes will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the McCullough-Price House, 300 S. Chandler Village Drive.
Classes are facilitated in an interactive, hands-on setting to allow optimum learning and practical application. The curriculum will include training on how to effectively address challenges that affect those who live in an HOA.
Class topics include Advanced Community Association Finance, Parliamentary Procedure, Reserves, Writing RFPs and Evaluating Bid Proposals, Neighborhood Communications and HOA Insurance.
Classes are free for Chandler residents, however space is limited to 30 participants. Those who attend at least five classes will receive a certificate of completion and be recognized at a future Chandler City Council meeting. To register, contact the Neighborhood Programs Division at 480-782-4348.
The Advanced HOA Academy is offered by Neighborhood Programs in partnership with The Leadership Centre. The Leadership Centre was created in 1996 and provides residents with information, resources and tools that create and support effective community leaders.
